In addition to her directing career, Hannah Todd works as a freelance writer, with twelve years of professional ghostwriting experience.

In her ghostwriting work, Hannah seeks to help individuals create the manuscript of their dreams. Her background in literature and theater has informed my ability to craft compelling narratives across all genres and disciplines, while her academic background also provides her with a strong skillset in researching, synthesizing and clearly communicating in-depth data and analysis in a way that educates, engages, and inspires the reader.
After graduating with a B.A. in Literature and Theatre from Hampshire College in 2007, Hannah moved to Washington, D.C. for an Artistic Fellowship at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Upon completing her Fellowship, she stayed in D.C. for the next five years, working as a freelance theater director, a personal assistant, starting a theater company - and becoming a ghostwriter for BusinessGhost in 2011. In 2013, Hannah moved to Chicago to study for an M.F.A. in Theater Directing from Northwestern University, which she completed in 2017. Today, she lives and work in Chicago (with occasional gigs in D.C. and elsewhere) as a freelance theater director and ghostwriter, and has been working with Advantage|ForbesBooks for the past five years.
In her 12 years as a ghostwriter, Hannah has ghostwritten, book doctored, and edited over 30 books on a wide range of topics, including entrepreneurship, business management, workplace culture, financial planning, personal memoirs, self-improvement, the history of economics, education, public relations, recruitment, climate change, green tech, artificial intelligence, and the mysterious and intriguing world of an elusive perfume. Through these books, along with a strong academic background and a life-long love of storytelling, Hannah has honed her ability to combine important data and information, practical advice, and personal and professional journeys into compelling narratives that inspire the reader - while staying true to the unique voice and vision of the author.
